SIPD hosted an open workshop on "Teaching English Essay Writing" in Tando Allahyar, bringing together educators from both private and government schools. The participants displayed great eagerness to acquire valuable methods for instructing essay writing in their classrooms.

The first day of our 5-day Foundation Course Training for teachers from our adopted schools kicked off on August 21, 2023. A total of 20 educators from SIPD's 10 adopted schools joined in, engaging in insightful discussions about their course expectations. SIPD is a ray of hope for teachers who have been teaching in low-cost private schools of Tando Allahyar and other districts of Sindh for many years without any professional support. These schools have meager resources and cannot afford to offer such sophisticated courses to their teachers. Consequently, SIPD's focus on these schools would highly contribute to improvement in quality teaching and learning in these schools.
I believe education and training are closely linked, education gives you the power of knowledge and generates a positive attitude while training equips you with essential skills to perform a particular task. We have a large number of teachers who hold better degrees yet lack the capabilities of teaching because they are untrained. The establishment of SIPD in our city is a really good initiative for teachers like us. The trainings offered at the institute are according to the needs of the teachers. i got the opportunity to join one of the training sessions with my colleagues and found it very useful for my own professional career.
SIPD is the institute where I was acquainted with the true purpose and practices of teaching and learning. I learnt the importance of lesson planning and that of teacher's preparation before entering the class. I now understand that a good planning helps to control the pace of activities in class and manage time. I feel satisfied that i am able to complete all work on time.
Before attending the workshop my teaching style was very traditional and was based on lecturing but after going through workshops at SIPD I have understood that being an effective teacher is not an easy task, it requires a lot of hard work and above all a better teaching attitude. I am now striving to improve my knowledge about the subject content and pedagogy to become a better teacher. SIPD's workshops helped me to improve my teaching methods, now i am more aware of the needs of students in my class.
