Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education

The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Diploma Programme, offered by the Sargodhains’ Institute for Professional Development (SIPD), is a one-year course designed specifically for in-service teachers working in public and private schools across Sindh Pakistan. This programme aims to equip teachers with advanced knowledge and skills essential for fostering the holistic development of young children from birth to eight years. The diploma program is accredited by the Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA) and affiliated with the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE), ensuring high standards of education and professional recognition. Participants will attend two classes per week, each lasting three hours, providing a balanced and manageable schedule that allows for deep engagement with the course material while accommodating the busy lives of working teachers. Through this program, teachers will be empowered to create inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments that support the diverse needs of early learners.

The assessment of students in the ECCE Diploma Programme incorporates both formative and summative evaluation methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of participants’ progress and performance. Formative assessments are utilized throughout the course to provide ongoing feedback to participants and instructors, facilitating continuous improvement and personalized support. These assessments can include quizzes, peer evaluations, classroom observations, and reflective journals. Summative assessments, conducted at the end of the program, evaluate overall performance through final exams, major projects, and practical demonstrations. This balanced approach ensures that participants gain a deep and practical understanding of early childhood care and education and have multiple opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in various contexts.
